1. Technology and founders’ centre

The IT-Speicher is interested in young companies and founders from the information technology sector. Subsidized by the City of Regensburg, the IT-Speicher supports young companies for up to 5 years by providing office space.

Provision of room-related infrastructure
- affordable office space at a price of 8 Euros per square metre plus 5% communal facilities contribution and 2.30 Euros ancillary costs.
- As a rule, space available for expansion
- Short-term rental agreements for tenants (3 months’ notice)
- 2 conference rooms with presentation technology (special price for IT-Speicher tenants)
- air-conditioned server room with server cabinets
- kitchens, social rooms and shower
- visitors’ parking places free of charge

- structured cabling
- flat-rate, fast Internet access
- configuration of VLAN and Firewall
- telephone system and telephones
- affordable telephoning (flat-rate)
- copier, colour laser printer

2. Support for foundation of IT enterprises

The brand "IT-Speicher" stands for the promotion of the IT sector in the entire Upper Palatinate region. It aims to mobilize the foundation of new IT enterprises in the upper Palatinate region and to offer support to young IT companies as they grow. The consultancy and other services offered are targeted towards all founders of IT companies from the Upper Palatinate region.

“IT-Speicher”also stands for the initiation and organisation of sector-related and technology-oriented networks. These serve as a platform to create distribution and development cooperations, customer and supplier relations and practice-related programmes for initial and on-the-job professional training.

Bavarian IT Security and Safety Cluster

The Bavarian IT Security and Safety Cluster is an established technology network consisting of 41 enterprises and three institutes of higher learning and is organised by the IT-Speicher.

Goals:
- to foster the cooperations between the companies and universities which are members of the Strategic Partnership
- promotion and further development of research and qualification offers in the field “IT security”
- presentation of the regional IT security competence
- heightening of awareness for the significance of IT security and quick
technology transfer
